Hey guys (:
Just wanted to share my experience a few weeks ago, where I had my first presentation in front of a non-school related, non-grades related event.
In business school, I’d average a presentation every month for three years to just pass my coursework. Some topics were a breeze to present, some were just plain horrible, and others were absolute nightmares.
This time, though, I was in a happy environment talking about my experiences, which was the easiest topic to cover in my opinion. The talk was about Fashion in Japan, a funny little topic which my friend Preetam invited me to talk about. The audience was made up of people who may be visiting Japan or were interested in the Japanese culture.
No one else will have the same experiences as you did. Only you know best about what you feel and what you’ve seen. So therefore, I was the master expert of what I was talking about.
It was just amazing.

I’ll be holding a talk tomorrow at one of the polytecnics in Singapore, to the bright young minds of the future.
Hopefully I’ll learn a lot of useful things and they will learn a lot of useful things from my talk too.

I’m always scared to do presentations but if I’m forced to give one, I’m usually least nervous when I’m presenting something that I know the subject matter at heart
Are you a professional journalist? You write very well.
I would have very much liked to hear it, since conversations with you have always been more than interesting, and from the pictures of ur Power Point Slides I’ve seen, on Facebook of all places, I would have been happy to hear what you have said accompanying them! Maybe next time, you manage to sneak someone in to record your lecture! I would love to hear it.
Hey v (: It was a one-off lecture, it felt more like a sharing session! Will be posting up some of the photos here too. (: i promise to write soon!
i have stage fright so I can’t imagine ever giving a proper presentation voluntarily. you looked like you had fun, though!
