Have you watched An Education?

A beautiful movie set in 1962, it highlights the depth and versatility of Carey Mulligan. As a 16 years old schoolgirl, she is suddenly exposed to jazz clubs and beautiful people through a stranger she met.

The glitz eats her up and she yearns for something more: through her experiences, she receives an entirely different education than what she bargained for.

I love how effortlessly she switches from squeaky clean schoolgirl to a British Audrey Hepburn, with uppity hair and timeless makeup.

Isn’t it lovely, when you come across a show so precious it flits past you like a breath of fresh air?

Watch it.

    did you watch it in the movies or on dvd? I wanted to catch it, but I didn’t! D’oh! I love the green plaid dress and the lovely blue on in the last photo! Looks like a Monet painting.

    I’ve seen it and I loved it! Carey Mulligan is just so lovely and the dresses are sooo pretty!
