I am so coming here when I fly over for Singapore Design Festival end of the month. Any chance you’ll be attending SDF09 too?

    Hi Stephie,

I’m planning a trip to Japan next month and was wondering if you could recommend any hostels/places to go to in Osaka?

    Many thanks!

    Cheers,
    R

hi re: Definitely go to America Street/Town, that’s the area of shopping (resembles Bugis Village slightly in terms of store decor).

I suggest you go to that street with the huge crab too, that’s the landmark of Osaka… you get a lot of food and there is a huge bookstore there, Tatsuya, I believe. Eat the takopachi balls (like the ones in Takashimaya Singapore) and find a restaurant with the japanese pancakes (okonomiyaki).

I spent only day trips to Osaka so I don’t have hostel recommendations for you. But you can always check out hostelworld & sort results according to ratings. (:

    hi stephie :)

just wanna say thank you and so glad you’ve taken a picture of cat socrates :)
the story is that i had submitted my photo to the exhibition over there ( the photos hung there which you had taken a picture of ) but couldn’t visit it in time before they took them down.
I’m really glad to at least have a glimpse of how my photo looked there,

thanks lots for the effort even though it was just a random photo :)
